Job Description

Health Ministries Clinic (HMC) is seeking a reliable and service-oriented Pharmacy Clerk to join our integrated care team in Newton, Kansas . This is a full-time opportunity to support pharmacy operations in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. You'll be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing whole-person, community-based care.

As a Pharmacy Clerk at HMC, you'll play an essential support role within an interdisciplinary team of medical, dental, and behavioral health professionals. You'll assist with customer service, pharmacy organization, and clerical duties that ensure our pharmacy operates efficiently and delivers high-quality service to our patients.

What You'll Do

• Greet and assist patients at the pharmacy window and by phone
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Restock and organize shelves and inventory
• Assist with data entry and prescription filing
• Coordinate with pharmacy staff to ensure timely service and patient satisfaction
• Support documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
• Help manage communication between patients and pharmacy staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or customer service setting preferred
• Bilingual abilities (especially English/Spanish) are a plus
• Familiarity with pharmacy systems or EMRs (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and a patient-centered mindset
